Focus and Scope

Acta Biochimica Iranica (ABI), as the official publication of the Iranian Society of Biochemistry, is quarterly published by Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS). Acta Biochimica Iranica is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes high-quality research in all fields of Biochemistry and Molecular Biosciences. The journal’s mission is to disseminate new knowledge on the biochemical basis of health and disease, from fundamental molecular mechanisms to clinical applications. Areas covered include, but are not limited to: clinical and diagnostic biochemistry, molecular and structural biology, enzymology, proteomics, metabolomics, genomics, biochemical pharmacology, bioinformatics, biochemical genetics, biotechnology and biomarker discovery. The journal welcomes original research articles, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, short communications, and methodological papers.

 Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

All journal papers are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License, which permits any non-commercial use, sharing, adaptation, distribution and reproduction in any medium or format, as long as you give appropriate credit to the original author(s) and the source.

Article Processing Charges

As Tehran University of Medical Sciences is supporting most of the publishing costs of Acta Biochimica Iranica, article processing charge and any other publication fees in the journal are free for authors.

Subscription

Acta Biochimica Iranica is published as an open access electronic journal, so there is no subscription fee for audiences.

Advertisements

Acta Biochimica Iranica accepts NO advertisements in the journal website and articles.
